I chose nature as my source of inspiration as I love to walk every day. Along the way I always look for the beauty in nature. It is all around us!
Series I | Inspired by Nature - Ginkgo Leaves
This series was inspired by the Ginkgo biloba tree. I admire its resilience! It is the oldest surviving species of tree known to exist, over 200 million years! It is a symbol of longevity, strength, hope and peace.
Artists have long been inspired by the visual allure of the Ginkgo and its leaves.
The poets Johann Wolfgang von Goethe and Howard Nemerov wrote poems inspired by the Ginkgo.
Art Nouveau artists and designers in Nancy, France and Prague in the Czech Republic used the Ginkgo leaf and seed design in architectural monuments, paintings, and objet d’art.
